Serendipity Media ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the form on this website, we collect the details you choose to give us:
- your name and email address
- your business name, what you do, and your Instagram or TikTok handle
- the service you're interested in and your answers about your social media
- your preferred way to be contacted and, if you choose WhatsApp, your phone number
- how you heard about us
Why we collect it
We use your details only to:
- reply to your enquiry and talk with you about the service you're interested in
- prepare for and provide that service if we decide to work together
We will only send you newsletters, free guides or other updates if you have separately agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time. We will only contact you on WhatsApp if you have asked us to.
Who else handles your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We use a few trusted services to run this website, and they handle data on our behalf:
- Tally receives and stores the answers you submit through the enquiry form.
- Netlify hosts this website and may keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this site, so your browser connects to Google when the page loads.
- Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors find and use this website.
These providers may store data outside Singapore. We choose providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Cookies and website analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit this website, which pages they view and how they found us, for example through Instagram or a search engine. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. It does not tell us your name or contact details, and we use it only to improve this website and our content.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website will still work if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only for as long as we need them to respond to you and provide our services, or as required for business or legal reasons. After that, we delete them.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal data safe from unauthorised access, use or disclosure, including using secure, password-protected accounts and limiting who can see your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- stop using your data or delete it. If you withdraw consent, we may no longer be able to provide our services to you, and we'll let you know if that's the case
